Fees and Health Funds

Our Fees

Fees vary between practices for many reasons. We believe we can provide the best quality of care at our fee level, which is why virtually all our customers stay with us after their first visit.

Our focus is to recommend the best strategic long-term treatment which will ultimately offer better value than a short-term haphazard repair. It is better to spend a little more and do the best treatment once rather than compromise and have to redo it within a few years.

We aim to keep dentistry affordable, and each year use the Australian Dental Association average fee survey as our benchmark.

Uncompromising, quality lifelong dental care

We are a proudly independent practice and deliberately have not affiliated with the many discount schemes pushed by health funds. We are fiercely passionate on our stance.

A “preferred” provider is merely someone who has signed a financial contract with a health fund to agree to charge a fixed rate for a service, irrespective of the complexity or time taken. While it may not universally be the case, the fees determined by the health funds may limit the time, care and services provided to patients, as well as pre-determine the quality and type of materials used. These contracts usually benefit the funds, not you the patient!

We have decided not to let profit-focused health funds dictate what type of treatment you can have or who you can see. We pride ourselves on providing unbiased, uncompromised, individualised care and made a conscious decision not to be contracted to any of the insurance companies.

I believe you cannot provide a quality service when you are always watching the bottom line. I will not compromise my patient’s quality of care and will strive to maintain value by providing only quality, optimum dental care.

I have deliberately retained a small, intimate practice to ensure that each patient gets our undivided attention and develops a long-term trusting relationship. I am solely responsible for your dental care and have no intentions to corporatise, nor defer you to a junior assistant dentist. As a solo practitioner, I get to know your full treatment history to ensure proper continuation of care.

Even though we are independent, you are still able to access your full entitlements from all private health insurers without penalty.  For your convenience we have EFTPOS facilities on-site.
